Jon and Meg’s story is full of special moments. From meeting Meg’s parents on Cape Cod to dinners out in NYC, they love spending time together. Jon proposed at their favorite Italian restaurant — a nod to their first NYC date — and completely surprised Meg. Jon answered a few questions to share more about their love story:

What’s a moment in your relationship you’ll never forget?

What’s your go-to date night (or cozy night in) look like these days?

Dress up and go to dinner in NYC. 

Tell us the proposal story — surprise, planned, or somewhere in between?

Somewhere in between. I made a reservation at our favorite Italian restaurant in the city where we had our first official NYC date. It was meant to be a surprise but (as I found out later) she had a feeling I was going to propose that night. What she didn’t expect was that I would do it in the middle of the restaurant on a crowded Friday night. Best night ever. 

Did anything in particular inspire your ring choice—or did you just fall in love with it?

Meg knew exactly what she wanted. All I had to do was find the right person to help! 

What’s something your partner does that makes you feel especially loved?

She’s always my biggest cheerleader no matter what. Anytime I need support she’s there to encourage and reassure me that I can do anything I set my mind to. A lot of people say they “can’t picture their life” without their spouse. I can. It’s nowhere near as fun.
