Isaac and Stephanie’s story is about love, laughter, and taking chances. Their first date almost didn’t happen, but it turned into something special. They love cozy nights in or dressing down for a night out. Their proposal in Vail was a complete surprise and the perfect place to celebrate all their “firsts.” Their ring is extra meaningful, made with pieces from both of their families. Isaac answered a few questions to share more about their love story:

What’s a moment in your relationship you’ll never forget?

Of course the proposal, but other than that, our first date...it almost never happened, had multiple cancellations, but I remember thinking how special she was ( Isaac )

What’s your go-to date night (or cozy night in) look like these days?

In our ideal world - one of two things - either ordering in or making food and sitting on the couch with a new show we are watching, or showing up to a nice restaurant really underdressed and sitting at the bar. 

Tell us the proposal story — surprise, planned, or somewhere in between?

Complete surprise. Vail was the place of our first trip, the first time I called her my girlfriend, and the first time we took a leap of faith on each other. We were visiting my sister and brother-in-law out there and took a mid-morning hike...once we got to the top, I proposed! ( Isaac )

Did anything in particular inspire your ring choice—or did you just fall in love with it?

Kunal helped me from start to finish - I knew I wanted to incorporate three different rings - one from Stephanie's mother who passed, one from my grandmother's ring, and one that I would add. Kunal helped with the design and all of my requests and really helped with anything I needed in the process. The ring turned out better than I could have imagined ( Isaac )

What’s something your partner does that makes you feel especially loved?

Small little surprises - anything from little treats from our favorite bakery to showing up with a Celtics championship hat after a work trip to Boston. She's the most thoughtful person I know ( Isaac )
